Cloning hits new heights with OpeniMac offering Mac clones in Argentina even before the Psystar lawsuit is settled. OpeniMac has in store a couple of computers that are powered by Mac OS X Leopard, chugging along to the following tune.
.
.
.
- Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53GHz processor
- 2GB RAM
- 320GB SATA hard drive
- SuperDrive
- ATI Radeon HD PRO
That model will retail for $990, while those who want a souped up version will have to fork out $1,710 - nearly double the price of the former, but you do get a much larger hard drive (500GB), up to 4GB RAM, a 3GHz processor and a bumped up NVIDIA GeForce GS video card. Both models do share a 6-in-1 memory card reader. One thing’s for sure, neither clone computer bears a handsome resemblance to the original, but function over form, eh?

If you like the idea of cloud computing, you’ll love this Pano Zero Client. It’s minimalist, to say the least. It has no CPU, no memory, no local software, no nothing. Well, there’s a network connection, and the idea is to stream everything from the cloud, using its Console Direct Technology.
Does it run those Internet-based “cloud apps” we like so much? Not exactly. Aimed at big (and cash-strapped) corporations, it’s designed to run everything from a company server over a fast network connection.
Look around back, and you’ll see a VGA port for a monitor, a USB port for a mouse, couple of audio in/out jacks, and of course, that essential network port. And nothing else. One advantage: no viruses or malware, because there’s no software. Another: it sips just 3% of the power of a conventional PC, consuming a puny 5 watts. Minimalist, indeed.

Fujitsu Siemens has been showing off its AMILO Sa 3650 and AMILO GraphicBooster add-on for a few months now, and we even recently saw the combo put to the Crysis test, but it looks like both are now finally, actually rolling out to the general public. In case you missed it, the laptop itself is a 13-inch, AMD-based number (your choice of Turion X2 or Athlon X2 processors), with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card, up to 4GB of RAM, and either and either a 250GB or 320GB hard drive. The GraphicBooster add-on, which currently only works with the Sa 3650, is based around an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 graphics card, and promises a 470% increase in graphics performance over the laptop’s built-in graphics. No word on prices just yet, unfortunately but both the laptop and the GraphicBooster add-on will apparently be available at some “specialist retailers” this
